Since their debut album on Bad Taste in 2007, The Upbeats have built up a massive following of D&B purists around the world. Releases on world renound labels like Virus and Soul-r, as well as a recent album on their own Non Vogue label have ensured ever increasing interest in their music. Following on from massive tracks on the first two Bad Taste compilations they had a lot to live up to, and they don’t disappoint. ‘Tor’ is a classic slice of rolling D&B which Brazilian superstar DJ Marky described as “techy but funky, simple, but a killer”, need I say more! Uman makes his debut on Bad Taste alongside No Money and rounds off volume III in fine style with ‘Requiem’. With releases under his belt on Viper and Timeless as a solo artist already, Uman is now part of Blokhe4d, an exciting new project coming in 2010. With a whole host of exciting tracks forthcoming on Bad Taste Recordings and the legendary Hospital Records definitely one to watch if this absolute monster is anything to go by.
